What is UGCut?

UGCut turns a script into a finished, captioned video in about 15 minutes, entirely on your iPhone. Write or paste your script and UGCut splits it into sentences you can tag Hook, Body, and CTA. Read it once with the speech-following teleprompter. Flub a line and a single gesture re-records just that sentence. UGCut auto-cuts the take per sentence, adds animated captions in your choice of 8 styles, and exports presets sized for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts with a safe-zone preview. Every cut is anchored to a sentence in your script, so editing is as easy as editing text. All AI runs on-device (iOS 26+), so your footage and your face never leave your phone, with no account required to record, cut, caption, and export. The free tier keeps the entire core loop; Pro removes the watermark, unlocks 4K, and adds all 8 caption styles.

FAQ

How is UGCut different from CapCut?
CapCut starts from footage and gives you a freeform timeline, so a talking-head ad can mean 45–90 minutes of scrubbing. UGCut starts from your script. Every cut is anchored to a sentence, so UGCut auto-cuts the take per sentence and you edit by editing text, not by dragging clips. Most videos are done in about 15 minutes with zero timeline work. There is also a rights angle: CapCut’s terms grant a perpetual licence over content edited through it, so some brands now ask creators not to edit in CapCut. Because UGCut never uploads your footage, you and your client keep the rights.
What does "script-first" actually mean?
You write or paste a script and UGCut splits it into sentences. You read it with the teleprompter, and every downstream piece (clips, takes, cut points, captions, retakes) is tied to a sentence in that script. Flubbed sentence 7? Re-record just sentence 7. Need a different hook? Swap that one line. Nothing else on mobile works this way.
Does my video ever leave my iPhone?
No. The entire creator loop (script, recording, auto-cut, captions, and export) runs on-device using iOS 26 on-device AI. Your footage and your face never get uploaded. There is no media backend. Because your creator content is not uploaded, no editor gets a licence over that work, so you and your client keep the rights. Limited anonymous completed-purchase history is sent to RevenueCat for subscription functionality and analytics. It is not linked to your identity or used for tracking, and it never includes creator content.
Do I need an account to use UGCut?
No. You can write, record, auto-cut, caption, and export without signing in. Purchases and restores use your Apple ID through the App Store; UGCut does not create an account.
How does the teleprompter work?
UGCut’s teleprompter follows your voice as you read, so the script scrolls at your pace, not a fixed speed. The current sentence is highlighted; neighbor lines dim so you can anticipate. If you flub a line, a single gesture re-records just that sentence instead of the whole take.
What’s free and what’s Pro?
Free keeps the entire core loop (script editor, teleprompter, auto-cut, captions, and export) plus 3 caption styles and up to 1080p, with a small UGCut watermark. Pro removes the watermark, unlocks 4K export, and adds all 8 caption styles. The magic loop is never gated. Only the watermark, 4K, and premium styles are. Yes, free desktop editors like DaVinci Resolve exist with no watermark; UGCut’s bet is the part they can’t match: the script-first workflow and finished, captioned videos on your phone in about 15 minutes.
How much does Pro cost?
Planned launch pricing is $9.99 monthly, $49.99 annually, or $99.99 for a one-time lifetime purchase. These figures and any introductory trial are working hypotheses, not a final offer. Apple will show the confirmed local price and trial eligibility before purchase; the free tier already covers the full core loop.
Which platforms can I export for?
UGCut exports portrait-first presets sized for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, with a safe-zone preview so your captions and key moments clear each platform’s on-screen UI. Free exports up to 1080p; Pro unlocks 4K.
